Your collages are next level! Why GIFs? It’s so brilliant. How did you land on GIFs as art?

There were two catalysts, two of my friends had just published some art, I was inspired and motivated, so I wanted to create something but set myself apart

because I love porn, the subject was chosen easily, and with GIFs I love how these shapes can come together, move, and morph

I love animations that are sexy in their own right, but when combined, there’s a humour to it, but still stimulating

but in the end I really just want to make something that’s interesting to look at 🙂

there’s definitely costs with the art, running the site, buying some gear, printing stuff, … and there are no returns bc I don’t monetise any of it.

Well, not really. I’m actually going to sell posters at the next PrideArt expo in Berlin. I kept the price low so I can at least cover printing and shipping costs.
(I thought I could exhibit there, but apparently only work that’s for sale is allowed to hang. Frustrating, because I can’t really show my GIFs that way. I actually wasn’t prepared to sell anything either, so I just picked a price and honestly, I haven’t even started thinking about how I want to sell my work. The last thing I want is to end up selling mugs, postcards, or posters just to make some money. It’s something I worry about a lot, but I’m taking my time to really think it through. 😄)

Your website is kinda like a sox community portal. Is that right?

that’s something we’re working towards with the survey and the confessions, yes

providing a sort of central spot for sock enthusiasts, a shared place

What is the goal exactly? What’s the dream?

The long-term goal is publishing a book that can serve as a reference point for what the sock community is about

first of all, even establishing a “sock community” because it’s a very, very diverse group of people

it’s also something me and the bf are working on together, I do the visuals, he does the data and the words. I’d love for people to check out my work archives, find what you love, reach out to me on Bluesky so I finally start using the damn thing, and stay tuned for the survey results (and take it if you haven’t yet!)

Animated collages allow the artist to perfectly capture and express his vision by taking fragments from the endless catalog of porn and mashing them into new shapes and narratives. The result is a chaotic, perpetual, and overstimulating blend of images that mirrors the nature of online porn itself. His collages are composed of snippets from videos or digital photos he finds online, mixed with material he edits using digital painting and sometimes assisted by AI. While his day job as a graphic designer hints at his skills, his art is his secret creative outlet, free from deadlines or rules. The long-term goal is publishing a book that can serve as a reference point for what the sock community is about

first of all, even establishing a “sock community” because it’s a very, very diverse group of people
